An award-winning international semiconductor client seeks a hands-on technical wireless base station engineering professional for a central New Jersey design center and lab. You will lead and mentor in a multi-discipline and multi-cultural environment. Products include software-defined RF data converter systems. Digital ... away from mixers, up and down converters. 10-40 gigabit. Direct analog to bits.
You will: Kick off meetings on architecture and new products ... Support product definition... Build test benches, write code for bench ... Do design reviews ... Cover customer needs ... Go through the data ... Attend meetings in confidence to pitch data, defend findings ... Take things all the way to release ... Full life cycle responsibility ... Make sure the product does what it is supposed to do.
Skills that will get our attention:
- Proven success commercializing wireless platforms.
- Current hands-on interest automating RF tests and working with advanced lab equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes)
- Technical breadth and depth in analog and RF circuits, high-speed serial interfaces, ADCs/DACs, and mixed-signal systems.
- Technical breadth and depth in digital and DSP concepts such as FFTs, sampling theorem, digital filters, etc.
- Lab testing of detailed RF measurements of complex radio platforms such as linearity, noise figure, EVM, etc.
- Use of Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, etc. to automate test solutions.

- Firmware in the definition and verification of complex DSP algorithms
Title: Engineer (Senior - Principal Level)
Location: Onsite New Brunswick, New Jersey (central NJ).
Compensation: Estimated base salary $160,000 - $190,000 DOE. Significant upside in bonus and RSUs.
