Our client, a global leader in the full-lifecycle development of mission critical defense systems seeks engineers with proven track records in full lifecycle development of highly reliable, mission and safety critical power supplies and power electronics.

*US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is necessary.


Title: Engineer (mid --> senior --> principal levels)

Location: Dallas (similar positions in Florida, Alabama and Arizona)

Compensation: Very competitive base salary, additional incentives, excellent benefits, as well as an outstanding comprehensive relocation package.

Musts:  Current hands-on power supply design. Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). Linear Power Supplies. Design, analysis, and test experience with linear converters, and non-isolated converter topologies. Circuit Simulation using SPICE. Analog Circuit Design. Low Noise Design. Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design and Layout for Power Supplies. Control loops. Failure Mode Analysis. The generation of requirement documents, schematics, and board routing instructions.  

Desirable: PhD/MS. An active DoD Secret clearance. Technical Leadership. DC-DC Converters. AC-DC Converters. Buck, boost, buck-boost. Transformers. EMI filtering and Impedance characterization. Knowledge of power electronics packaging, grounding and shielding. Design for vibration and shock. Design for extreme ambient temperatures. Monte Carlo simulations.  MIL-STD-461. MIL-STD-704. Design experience with power >5KW and voltages >400V. Earned Value Management methods. Proposals.
